ABOUT OUR SERVICES:
Skin Cancer Screening
About one in five will get skin cancer in a lifetime. Screening increases the likelihood of earlier detection for prevention and/or treatment success.
Precancer Evaluation & Treatment
To prevent skin cancer development, precancerous growths and conditions are identified, then treated with cryosurgery, superficial curettage, topical chemotherapeutics or immunomodulators (medicines that prompt your own immune cells into action), chemical peels, photodynamic therapy, etc.
Skin Cancer Medical & Surgical Treatment
If a skin cancer has been diagnosed, your doctor will discuss treatment options to enable you to select the best treatment. When skin cancer surgery is needed, it usually can be performed in the office under local anesthesia.

About our Clinic
Medicare enrollees receive covered services at the rates set by Medicare and are reimbursed per Medicare rules, as we do not "accept assignment.”
We do not contract with other insurances. This reduces or eliminates the middleman between you and the doctor in many cases.
Insurance is not required to be seen.
Payment (including Medicare deductible, and/or co-insurance, if applicable) is due at time of service. Options include credit card, debit, check, cash, health savings account (HSA), Flexible Spending Account (FSA), and Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA).
We can provide a cost estimate and required information to submit a claim for reimbursement (Medicare claims are usually submitted by us).
A referral is not required, but some insurance may require one for insurance reimbursement.
About Private Practice Care
Nearly three out of four physicians are now employed by hospitals, health systems, and other corporate entities, such as private equity firms and health insurers, according to research by the Physicians Advocacy Institute (PAI) and Avalere Health (source: Texas Medicine Today Daily Newsletter via the Texas Medical Association, 2022).
We are a true independent practice, not part of a hospital system, private equity company, or retail chain clinic.
Patient Lab and Pathology Services
Insurance coverage of lab work and pathology is per insurer's policy. Claims for laboratory and pathology fees are handled by the respective facilities. We use facilities that contract with almost all insurances and send our patients’ skin samples to one of the best dermatopathologists in the country.
